One of the most prestigious chamber orchestras of the music world, the Camerata Bern, having recently played with guest artists like Vadim Repin, Heinz Holliger, Maurice André, Jean-Pierre Rampal, Gidon Kremer and András Schiff  – will perform a joint concert with Balázs Fülei at the Grand Hall of the Liszt Academy at the beginning of February. During February, beyond concertos by Bach and Liszt, the audience will have the opportunity to listen to another concerto: the Piano Concerto in E minor by Chopin performed by Balázs Fülei and the Győr Philharmonic Orchestra. The venues of the first solo recitals of the year will be Latvia and then Ukraine – chamber music masterclasses will also be attached to the concerts at the Academies of Music in Riga and in Kiev. The series presenting the works of French composers launched at the end of 2017 will also be continued: the next concert will include sonatas by Franck and Debussy performed by Attila Falvay violinist and Balázs Fülei.

Could the score be perceived as a recipe and the performance as a meal cooked from it? What happens if an artist performs strictly following the recipe?  How will proper spicing and serving influence the success of the prepared meal? In the next, already the fifth part of the series by Balázs Fülei titled „The Piano in the focus” introducing the instrument in the Bartók Memorial House on January 23rd – the audience will be invited to taste performances made using the same recipe and yet very different, to choose their favourite spicing.
