In the spring of 1824, Franz Schubert accepted, already for the second time, the invitation of Count Johann Karl Esterházy to give piano lessons to his two daughters, Mária and Karolina, at the family’s estate in Zselíz (today: Želiezovce, Slovakia) where they spent their summers.

The composition titled Hungarian Melody was born there and is going to be the opening piece of Balázs Fülei’s solo recital in Nyíregyháza.

The concert will be held on March 16 at the Kodály School, the programme will include – in addition to Schubert – pieces by Liszt, Mendelssohn, Schumann, Ravel and Bartók.
