From September, a new programme titled 'Quartet' will be launched on Bartók Radio; the two-hour-long programme will be hosted by Balázs Fülei and will be broadcast once in a fortnight, at 3 p.m. on Saturday afternoons.
Each programme will feature a selected composition played in several variations by renowned performers. Each time three well-known artists will be sitting in the studio; they and the host will form the quartet. They will be talking about their feelings and impressions of the featured recordings, about their personal experiences and we will be able to sense the infinity of variations of performing a written work. The first programme will be broadcast on September 19, featuring Ravel’s second orchestral suite, Daphnis et Chloé. The programme’s guests will be Mátyás Antal conductor, Attila Falvay violinist and Roland Szentpáli tuba artist-composer.
