Fülei Balázs zongoraművész

The Sonata Weekend is a celebration of Beethoven, born 250 years ago, and of Hungarian pianists as well: Beethoven’s thirty two piano sonatas will be played in chronological order, in two days, at nine concerts performed by thirty two outstanding Hungarian pianists.

Balázs Fülei will play the Sonata in C sharp minor Op. 27/2 composed in 1801, widely known as the Moonlight Sonata, on November 21st at the evening concert. The title comes from Ludwig Rellstab, the poet and music critic to whom the first movement of the sonata came to mind while boating on Lake Lucerne on a moonlit night.
